# ILI - the “Critic” (NiTe)

* #### “Leading” Block - \[ “Strategy” ]

1. “Base” Function - \[ ![](data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAwAAAAMCAYAAABWdVznAAAAAXNSR0IArs4c6QAAAERlWElmTU0AKgAAAAgAAYdpAAQAAAABAAAAGgAAAAAAA6ABAAMAAAABAAEAAKACAAQAAAABAAAADKADAAQAAAABAAAADAAAAAATDPpdAAAASElEQVQoFWNgwA7+A4VBGAMwYYiQIYBsMjIbbBTFNmCYCDQWRYwiG1BMQvM7XI5sG+AmoJmMzAWrIcsGYkyH2fSfEcgiRQMDAAq7DP8hUE6AAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC) Ni ]

ILIs almost continually immerse themselves in reflecting on information to intuitively grasp both its practical and long-term strategic implications. For this type, thoroughly understanding past events is of utmost importance, as it allows one to predict likely future outcomes, and course-correct away from foolish decisions with potentially disastrous consequences. This emphasis on strategic realism in their outlooks often results in ILIs being dismissed as fatalistic or overly negative.

2. “Creative” Function - \[ ![](data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAwAAAAMCAYAAABWdVznAAAAAXNSR0IArs4c6QAAAERlWElmTU0AKgAAAAgAAYdpAAQAAAABAAAAGgAAAAAAA6ABAAMAAAABAAEAAKACAAQAAAABAAAADKADAAQAAAABAAAADAAAAAATDPpdAAAAHklEQVQoFWNkYGD4D8REAyaiVUIVjmogJsSGQygBAGOyARctg8RmAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC) Te ]

Critical to an ILI’s prognostications is the in-depth analysis of data. While not particularly proactive when it comes to data collection (largely tending to just passively accumulate such information as a matter of course), ILI’s are unparalleled at recalling relevant facts from their vast store of memory to pick up on trends and reason out optimal courses of action based on that information. ILIs also rely on these informal reasoning skills to articulate their non-verbalized insights as explicit, communicable fact propositions.

* #### “Diverting” Block - \[ “Aesthesis” ]

3. “Role” Function - \[ ![](data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAwAAAAMCAYAAABWdVznAAAAAXNSR0IArs4c6QAAAERlWElmTU0AKgAAAAgAAYdpAAQAAAABAAAAGgAAAAAAA6ABAAMAAAABAAEAAKACAAQAAAABAAAADKADAAQAAAABAAAADAAAAAATDPpdAAAATElEQVQoFWNkwAT/0YQY0fhwLkghumKQJFZxbArhJkEZYDVM6KLE8IkxHWbOf5JtoL0GuNtgDDw0+aEEMxRkArYQQxHHFu3omlDUAABJTg//VPgh0QAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==) Si ]

Despite being deeply absorbed in reflective analysis the majority of the time, an ILI has some tangential awareness of their bodily condition, and will somewhat begrudgingly attend to aesthetic conditions of their environment when necessary. While not adverse to physical comforts, ILIs tend to have rather simple, spartan tastes and prefer low maintenance styles of grooming so they can focus on matters more important to them.

4. “Vulnerable” Function - \[ ![](data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAwAAAAMCAYAAABWdVznAAAAAXNSR0IArs4c6QAAAERlWElmTU0AKgAAAAgAAYdpAAQAAAABAAAAGgAAAAAAA6ABAAMAAAABAAEAAKACAAQAAAABAAAADKADAAQAAAABAAAADAAAAAATDPpdAAAAKElEQVQoFWNkYGD4D8TYACM2QSZsgvjEhoMGUEjgCiWsfh8OnibZDwCFqQIW5gZ6ywAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==) Fe ]

Besides their natural tendency to be emotionally reserved, ILIs are also completely disinterested in outwardly managing moods or participating in what they feel to be frivolous emotional exchanges. An ILI’s physical expression of emotions tends to be a sparse, uncurated reflection of their own attitudes, and they’re largely indifferent to their emotional impact on others.

* #### “Dovetailing” Block - \[ “Volition” ]

5. “Suggestive” Function - \[ ![](data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAwAAAAMCAYAAABWdVznAAAAAXNSR0IArs4c6QAAAERlWElmTU0AKgAAAAgAAYdpAAQAAAABAAAAGgAAAAAAA6ABAAMAAAABAAEAAKACAAQAAAABAAAADKADAAQAAAABAAAADAAAAAATDPpdAAAAVklEQVQoFb1R2wpAIQjT6P9/udOCxRLCTg/5pLvgSm+9TMrdZTILtFWyURhxGguInZgm1QyDElmPwMsbMsPvDQ8M/K4sO3ho7yKdbKFmXppAPCJxRv4AhFMdEL1ax1YAAAAASUVORK5CYII=) Se ]

While concerned with the likely trajectory of events, an ILI's deeply reflective nature makes it difficult for them to take decisive action in the here & now to deal with immediate developments, and slow to respond in the face of unforeseen contingencies. For this reason, they are greatly appreciative of those who can take the initiative and assertively improvise to get things done by the seat of their pants.

6. “Mobilizing” Function - \[ ![](data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAwAAAAMCAYAAABWdVznAAAAAXNSR0IArs4c6QAAAERlWElmTU0AKgAAAAgAAYdpAAQAAAABAAAAGgAAAAAAA6ABAAMAAAABAAEAAKACAAQAAAABAAAADKADAAQAAAABAAAADAAAAAATDPpdAAAAOklEQVQoFWNkYGD4D8TYACM2QZAYNg3YxMD6mXCZgkt8EGpgweVWoDhOj+OUwGLY/0HoaVD0k+IHBgBiPwcPO3+IrQAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==) Fi ]

Even though they’re far from proactive or skilled in establishing personal connections with others, ILIs are deeply committed to those they do have meaningful relationships with, and have a strong tendency towards self-sacrificing for such individuals. ILIs are also keenly aware of their personal likes & dislikes, and are not inclined to forgive (much less forget) what they feel to be significant affronts to themselves or those they care for.

* #### “Trailing” Block - \[ “Interpretation” ]

7. “Ignoring” Function - \[ ![](data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAwAAAAMCAYAAABWdVznAAAAAXNSR0IArs4c6QAAAERlWElmTU0AKgAAAAgAAYdpAAQAAAABAAAAGgAAAAAAA6ABAAMAAAABAAEAAKACAAQAAAABAAAADKADAAQAAAABAAAADAAAAAATDPpdAAAAWUlEQVQoFZWRMQ4AIAgDrf//swoJpIJoZBFLrwxgrGqhAKhyGLUevM9vAixdSO4tKQE2qN4NOCVGbQOqVNYdiEls4pkDbLj1CnBCZTbP9wY5abp0tUX07w0TQOYIKuOiDqIAAAAASUVORK5CYII=) Ne ]

Grasp and manipulation of concepts comes naturally to ILIs. However, they have little interest in creatively expanding upon ideas, or wild, idle speculation for its own sake. If they do come upon an idea which seems to have some promise, yet little immediate relevance, they’re likely to just take mental note of it and then put it aside for future investigation and possible use.

8. “Demonstrative” Function - \[ ![](data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAwAAAAMCAYAAABWdVznAAAAAXNSR0IArs4c6QAAAERlWElmTU0AKgAAAAgAAYdpAAQAAAABAAAAGgAAAAAAA6ABAAMAAAABAAEAAKACAAQAAAABAAAADKADAAQAAAABAAAADAAAAAATDPpdAAAAMUlEQVQoFWNkYGD4D8REAxaQyv//idPDyMjIwES00VCFoxqICTHahxIjKKKJcQpMDQDTbAUXrf8MiAAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==) Ti ]

ILIs are as adept with structured thinking as they are with grasping the practical gist of any information they happen to come across, readily spotting and pointing out logical inconsistencies. When they find a theory on a subject of interest to them, they will devote themselves to understanding it as thoroughly as possible. However, ILIs have little concern for formal, theoretical framings beyond whatever real-world predictive value they may provide.
