# IEI - the “Visionary” (NiFe)
* #### “Leading” Block - \[ “Aspiration” ]
1. “Base” Function - \[  Ni ]
IEIs find themselves inextricably drawn into a state of reverie; ever seeking to draw deeper meaning from the seemingly mundane patterns of life and making sense of one’s place in the arc of history. Their daydreaming ranges over all manner of topics, and an IEI’s endless capacity for fantasizing allows them to readily conjure elaborate scenarios and narrative threads. However, despite the apparently fanciful nature of IEIs, they are very much concerned with manifesting their inner vision and sense of destiny into the real world.
2. “Creative” Function - \[  Fe]
IEIs are highly attuned to the state of their inner sentiments, as well as the telltale psychological cues other people give off regarding their own. An IEI's profound narrative sense allows them ready insight into the mindsets of others, which they use in tailoring their rhetoric to create emotional common ground, and more effectively express themselves on an individual level. Skilled IEIs readily leverage their interpersonal insights to subtly guide group dynamics over time and get people on board with a common narrative vision.

3. “Role” Function - \[  Si ]
While largely absorbed in daydreaming most of the time, an IEI can shift focus to adequately observe and attend to mundane details when necessary; selectively directing their senses to note the dry what's-what of immediate goings-on, and acting accordingly. However, engaging with quotidian concerns holds little interest to IEIs, preferring – when they can – to overlay their experience of the everyday with a larger-than-life vision and sense of mission.
4. “Vulnerable” Function - \[  Te]
The deeply introspective, esoteric preoccupations of IEIs leaves them severely lacking in natural aptitude or patience for having to manage mundane practical tasks – with many possessing an outright aversion to manual labor. By and large, IEIs much prefer work of a more clerical nature, with clearly prescribed guidelines on how to proceed, and little need for hands-on, utilitarian know-how.

5. “Suggestive” Function - \[  Se ]
Regardless of how clear and compelling an IEI's vision may be, their naturally reflective, internal focus makes active, physical implementation of it very difficult for them. Being acutely aware of this shortcoming, IEIs are often left having to rely on more indirect means of conforming the world around them to their ideological paradigm. To this end, IEIs appreciate those who not only share in their vision, but are more naturally adept at physically taking control of situations and maneuvering the immediate course of events as they see fit.
6. “Mobilizing” Function - \[  Ti ]
As much as IEIs are concerned with crafting an encompassing ideological vision, they also prioritize embodying it through the faithful observance of codified procedures and habits in keeping with its doctrines. While not particularly proficient when it comes to the technicalities of formulating concrete protocols, most IEIs readily pick up on well-ordered systems, and will avidly strive to follow those which are consistent with their preferred beliefs. IEIs are most at ease when they have clear guiding principles to order their steps through life.

7. “Ignoring” Function - \[  Ne ]
Even though IEIs are perfectly capable of feeling out inner potentials and creatively exploring alternative ways of doing things, they're much more geared towards filtering down the range of possibilities to envision a one 'true' path to stick with. While they're not adverse to occasionally trying out different things or practicing new skills in hobbies of interest, unless they serve their long-term ambitions, IEIs will mostly just treat such things as momentary diversions. For an IEI, broadening personal horizons takes a backseat to investing oneself towards a higher purpose and destiny.
8. “Demonstrative” Function - \[  Fi ]
An IEI's introspective nature puts them directly in touch with their inner moral sense, as well as allowing them ready insight into the psychological character of others. That said, IEIs are largely disinterested in dwelling on abstract notions of inherent good and bad, or making prosaic moral evaluations of individuals. Not content with relying on their own abstract moral values, IEIs prefer to extract from them nuanced, emotionally compelling ideological paradigms and explicit doctrines of how the world should be ordered.
