# Simple Socionics

This site is curated to provide an easy to navigate, accessible, and straightforward means of learning Socionics through a number of Western Socionists. The site is managed and run by Trey Pearce, and any requests regarding the inclusion of more entries from others works can be directed to [trey@simplesocionics.com](mailto:). \
\
Socionics is a theory of personality and interpersonal dynamics that models information as having 8 distinct "information elements". It is also theorized that information is processed in an information metabolism, akin to the way our bodies metabolize food. The combining of these two concepts posits 16 different personality types, each processing various information elements in a distinct and nuanced way. While 16 types may make you think of MBTI, they are not the same. While they are distant cousins, MBTI was designed to be a simple tool for businesses. Whereas the Socionics community all seems to hold the conviction that Jungs original work be further developed and refined. This has to led to a more serious orientation towards the details and nuances of personality. \
\
If you have ever asked yourself why you function the way you do or why you feel so different from other people, Socionics is one of the best ways you can learn more about those unique aspects of your personality. Further, you can find people that value the same kinds of things you do. \
\
Despite the niche, and largely unrecognized or unknown space Socionics takes up, it nonetheless has a passionate community with so many excited to learn more and develop deepe insights into ourselves and others. \
\
As you explore Socionics on this page, consider reviewing the Socionists individual sites, discord communities, and YouTube channels for more information and for type diagnostic services. I hope you enjoy the insight and perspective that Socionics has to offer the same way that I do.

\
Thanks,\
